Assay Information
An antirat IL10 coating antibody is adsorbed onto microwells. Rat IL10 present in the sample or standard binds to antibodies adsorbed to the microwells. A biotinconjugated antirat IL10 antibody is added and binds to rat IL10  captured by the first antibody. Following incubation unbound biotin conjugated antirat IL10 antibody is removed  during a wash step. StreptavidinHRP is added and binds to the biotinconjugated antirat IL10 antibody. Following incubation unbound StreptavidinHRP is removed during a wash step, and substrate solution reactive with HRP is added  to the wells. A coloured product is formed in proportion to the amount of rat IL10 present in the sample or standard. The reaction is terminated by addition of acid and absorbance is measured at 450 nm. A standard curve is prepared from  7 rat IL10 standard dilutions and rat IL10 sample concentration determined.

Gene
Interleukin 10 (IL-10), also known as human cytokine synthesis inhibitory factor (CSIF), is an anti-inflammatory cytokine. In humans, interleukin 10 is encoded by the IL10 gene. Recombinant. coli interleukin-1o for cell culture or antibody production.
About
Rats are used to make rat monoclonal anti mouse antibodies. There are less rat- than mouse clones however. Rats genes from rodents of the genus Rattus norvegicus are often studied in vivo as a model of human genes in Sprague-Dawley or Wistar rats.
