Assay Information
This mouse IL2 Enzyme Immunometric Assay (EIA) kit is a complete kit for the determintation of mouse IL2 in biological fluids. Please read the complete kit insert before performing this assay. The kit uses a monoclonal antibody to mouse IL2 immobilized on a microtiter plate to bind themouse IL2 in the standards or sample. A recombinant mouse IL2 Standard is provided in the kit. After a short incubation the excess sample or standard is washed out and a biotinylated monoclonal antibody to mouse IL2 is added. This antibody binds to the mouse IL2 captured on the plate. After a short incubation the excess antibody is washed out and Streptavidin conjugated to Horseradish peroxidase is added, which binds to the biotinylated mouse IL2 antibody. Excess conjugate is washed out and substrate is added. After a short incubation, the enzyme reaction is stopped and the color generated is read at 450 nm. The measured optical density is directly proportional to the concentration of mouse IL2 in either standards or samples.

Test
ELISA Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays Code 90320007 SNOMED,Mouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
Gene
Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is an interleukin, a type of cytokine signaling molecule in the immune system. It is a protein that regulates the activities of white blood cells (leukocytes, often lymphocytes) that are responsible for immunity. IL-2 is part of the body's natural response to microbial infection, and in discriminating between foreign ("non-self") and "self". IL-2 mediates its effects by binding to IL-2 receptors, which are expressed by lymphocytes. Rec. E. coli interleukin-2 for T cell culture or antibody production is supplied by GENTAUR.
