Assay Information
An antihuman sCD137 coating antibody is adsorbed onto microwells. Human sCD137 present in the sample or standard binds to antibodies adsorbed to the microwells. A biotinconjugated antihuman sCD137 antibody is added and binds to  human sCD137 captured by the first antibody. Following incubation unbound biotin conjugated antihuman sCD137 antibody is removed during a wash step. StreptavidinHRP is added and binds to the biotin conjugated antihuman sCD137 antibody. Following incubation unbound StreptavidinHRP is removed during a wash step, and substrate solution reactive with HRP is added to the wells. A coloured product is formed in proportion to the amount of human sCD137 present in the sample or standard. The reaction is terminated by addition of acid and absorbance is measured at 450 nm. A standard curve is prepared from 7 human sCD137 standard dilutions and human sCD137 sample concentration determined.

Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
