Assay Information
An antihuman IL1 alpha coating antibody is adsorbed onto microwells. Human IL1 alpha present in the sample or standard binds to antibodies adsorbed to the microwells. A biotinconjugated antihuman IL1 alpha antibody is added and binds to human IL1 alpha captured by the first antibody. Following incubation unbound biotin conjugated antihuman IL1 alpha antibody is removed during a wash step. StreptavidinHRP is added and binds to the biotin conjugated antihuman IL1 alpha antibody. Following incubation unbound StreptavidinHRP is removed during a wash step, and substrate solution reactive with HRP is added to the wells. A coloured product is formed in proportion to the amount of human IL1 alpha present in the sample or standard. The reaction is terminated by addition of acid and absorbance is measured at 450 nm. A standard curve is prepared from 7 human IL1 alpha standard dilutions and human IL1 alpha sample concentration determined.
Description
The IL1 alpha ELISA kit is a α- or alpha protein sometimes glycoprotein present in blood.

Modern humans (Homo sapiens, primarily ssp. Homo sapiens sapiens). Depending on the epitopes used human ELISA kits can be cross reactive to many other species. Mainly analyzed are human serum, plasma, urine, saliva, human cell culture supernatants and biological samples.
