Assay Information
An antimouse IL2 coating antibody is adsorbed onto microwells. Mouse IL2 present in the sample or standard binds to antibodies adsorbed to the microwells. A biotinconjugated antimouse IL2 antibody is added and binds to mouse  IL2 captured by the first antibody. Following incubation unbound biotin conjugated antimouse IL2 antibody is  removed during a wash step. StreptavidinHRP is added and binds to the biotin conjugated antimouse IL2 antibody. Following incubation unbound StreptavidinHRP is removed during a wash step, and substrate solution reactive with HRP is added to the wells. A coloured product is formed in proportion to the amount of mouse IL2 present in the  sample or standard. The reaction is terminated by addition of acid and absorbance is measured at 450 nm. A standard curve is prepared from 7 mouse IL2 standard dilutions and mouse IL2 sample concentration determined.

Test
ELISA Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays Code 90320007 SNOMED,Mouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.
Gene
Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is an interleukin, a type of cytokine signaling molecule in the immune system. It is a protein that regulates the activities of white blood cells (leukocytes, often lymphocytes) that are responsible for immunity. IL-2 is part of the body's natural response to microbial infection, and in discriminating between foreign ("non-self") and "self". IL-2 mediates its effects by binding to IL-2 receptors, which are expressed by lymphocytes. Rec. E. coli interleukin-2 for T cell culture or antibody production is supplied by GENTAUR. Free samples on request.
